About MBCH
The Minnesota Business Coalition on Health is a nonprofit, nonpartisan coalition of employers and purchasers united to fix healthcare from the outside in.
Our Mission
MBCH exists to equip Minnesota's largest employers and public purchasers with the tools, data, and joint leverage needed to demand a healthcare system that delivers real value — one that is affordable, high-quality, transparent, and equitable for every worker and family in the state.
Why We Exist
Healthcare costs continue to rise at unsustainable rates, consuming an ever-larger share of employee compensation and public budgets. Market consolidation, opaque pricing, and misaligned incentives have left employers — the largest payers in the system — without the information or leverage to drive meaningful change. MBCH was founded to change that. By uniting purchasers across Minnesota, we create the scale and expertise needed to hold the system accountable and champion reforms that benefit workers, families, and the broader economy.
